At home face peel

Good face peels, or pore strips, can cost you a pretty penny.
Who wants to have to pay $20 even up to $100 for a facial mask/peel!

Well to do this at home peel, youll need two ingredients, and just a few minutes.

Youll need:
1 1/2 tbsp milk.
1 Packet of Unflavored gelatin.
(if you use flavored/colored it will turn your face that color, not a good look)

Mix together in microwavable bowl or disposable cup.
If it looks a little too thick or chunky add 1/2 tbsp more milk.
Microwave 10-20 seconds.
Be careful not to over microwave if its too hot you will burn your skin.
Apply to your (clean) face with a popsicle stick or paint/makeup brush (clean/new)
Try to avoid your hair line and eye brows, this still will stick to it like wax.
Let it dry 15-20 minutes. (Or longer if you glopped it on too much)
When it feels tight and no longer tacky you can start peeling.
If your face feels sticky or irritated you can wash it or rinse with warm water.

So, there you have it. at home face peel for just a few bucks,
and you have three more packets of gelatin for the future. :)

Get naked at 1/2 price?

*None of the companies mentioned are paying me and all opinions are my own.*
This is just a quick blog to share what I found todayy :)
If you read my last two blogs youll know i LOVE the Urban Decay NAKED palette.
Well, today while looking online for some new palettes, i came across a palette that looks an awful lot like the Urban Decay NAKED pallet, but instead of $50, its only $25!
And it has more colors, and some lip colors.
Its the 'Nude on Nude' palette from NYX.
NYX has some really great products for a lot cheaper than similar products by Urban Decay, Too faced, Smashbox, etc.
I havent tried this palette, but I have tried other NYX products and I love them.
(Once I try it Ill give a full review)

These colors are so cute, theyre similar to NAKED but theres some more shades in there, and the quality is almost as good as Urban Decay.

(NAKED for comparison)

I know a lot of people love the naked palette, but dont wanna fork out $50 for it, so I wanted to share this with everyone as a cheaper alternative.

Urban Decay NAKED
This is definitely one of my favorite palettes ever.
The colors are all perfect and look great on any skin tone. There are so many looks you can do with this one palette.

You can buy this and all other products mentioned at Ulta or Sephora.

THE LOOK
I love this look. It looks nice on all skin tones, its not too nude, you still look like you have makeup on, but its not bright or dark and crazy. And its super easy to do

How I did it.

Step one: Primer.
I used Too Faced Primed and Poreless Primer.
Apply all over face to leave skin looking smooth and flawless, and to help makeup stay all day.
My favorite primer, used with the Primed and Poreless Powder makes your face so smooth and soft its so nice.

Step two: Foundation
.
Almay clear complexion.
Cover red spots or blemishes, areas that naturally get red.
This stuff is awesome. It absorbs oil and has salicylic acid to help heal blemishes.

Step three: Powder.
Revlon ColorStay Mineral Finishing Powder.
Apply to entire face to seal in foundation. I LOVE this powder, it gives you a natural glowy tan look, you dont even really need a bronzer with this.

Step four: Blush.
Urban Decay Afterglow Blush in 'Quickie'
Lightly apply to apples of cheeks and gently up towards temple.
This is such a cute light bubblegummy pink its a little shimmery but not too much like a lot of blushes can be. Personally i think its like the perfect blush color.

Step five: Define Eyebrows
You can either do this before or after you do the shadow, today i did it before.
Benefit Brow Zings.
I lovelovelove this little thing. I have it in light, and its pretty dark, if you have brown hair you might not wanna get the dark cuz if the light is this dark I cant imagine how dark the dark one is.
But this little guy is perfect, it has the darker gel color you define your brows with, then the lighter powder to set it. It comes with the brushes and a little pair of tweezers its tiny so it will fit in your purse or travel makeup bag, and it basically has everything you need to define your brows.
So you use the angle brush with the gel color to shape your brows, the the blending brush to fill them in.

Step six: Lid Primer
Smashbox Photo Finish Lid Primer.
Dab a little of this on your lids and smooth over to cover veins or redness on eyelids, and to help shadow last all day and show the true color.
This is my favorite lid primer, but cheaper alternatives are NYX eyeshadow base or Amazing Cosmetics Eyeshadow Primer.

Step seven:
Finally for the eyeshadow!

Using a shader brush apply to inner corner and brow bone.
Using small shader brush tap lightly in 'virgin' then 'naked' start right under pupil and bring to inner corner, leaving very inner corner lighter.

Using shader brush apply to outer corner in lightly bringing up to 'virgin' blend together

Using shader brush apply to outer corner and gently towards middle of lid blending into 'naked'

Using crease brush shade outer 1/2-2/3 of crease, again blendblendblend. (great eyeshadow is all about blending, if you dont blend its gonna look like crap.)
Using small shader brush apply to bottom outer corner halfway to inner corner blend into 'naked/virgin'

Using a short shader brush shade a tiny little bit of this on the very outer corner and blend into 'darkhorse'
Using a small shader brush apply a little bit to bottom outer corner blend into 'darkhorse'

Step eight: Liner
Line upper lid very fine just onto the lash line with any black liner, then the upper water line, using an angle brush take a little bit of 'creep' and tap it lightly onto liner to set and darken.
Line lower water line gently into lashes.

Step nine: Mascara
Revlon Grow Luscious Mascara.
Curl lashes. Apply to top and bottom of upper lashes, i apply 2-3 coats to get the perfect look.
Apply to top of bottom lashes.
This mascara is amazing, perfect length and volume. AND it helps grow lashes!

Favorites :)

*None of the companies mentioned are paying me and all opinions are my own.*
This is just a list of some of my favorite products that I have been using lately. You can get all these products at ulta.

Check out my summer favorites here.

Face:
Too Faced Primed & Poreless
Skin Smoothing Face Primer

This is my favorite primer I have ever used. It leaves your face feeling so soft and smooth. It fills in fine lines and wrinkles, large pores, everything, to give you a nice smooth surface for the rest of your makeup.
You can even wear it alone for a more natural look.
Now, a lot of concealers and foundations dont get along with my skin very well, and look caked on and not very pretty. So I use just this and a powder and it looks perfect. Until I find the right foundation for my skin, Ill be using this. It works so good.

Too Faced Primes & Poreless
Skin Smoothing Priming Powder and Finishing Veil

Either on top of just the primer for that natural 'no makeup' look.
Or on top of primer, concealer, foundation and powder as a finishing veil.
This on top of any makeup makes your face unbelievably soft. I LOVE this product.

Revlon ColorStay
Mineral Finishing Powder

This powder gives you such a nice tan look without looking fake and orange. It looks so natural and blends really well. Could be used on entire face, or as a bronzer.
Also the fact that its Revlon, means its much cheaper, but still a great product.

Smashbox Halo Hydrating Perfecting Powder
This is my favorite powder ever. My skin can be really dry but oily at the same time, so using a hydrating powder is a really great for me. Its not too like course its pretty fine so it doesnt cake on like some of the cheaper brands do. It is on the pricier side, but with makeup, you usually get what you pay for. So a lot of the time its worth it to splurge on a product.

Physicians Formula - Organic Wear
2 in 1 Bronzer & Blush

This is a great product to put in a purse makeup bag or travel bag, because its two products in one. So you dont have to bring both bronzer and blush, you have them both in one package.
The colors arent my favorite, the blush is kinda peachy and I prefer more bubblegum pink. But they go really well together and its much more convenient than carrying around both separately. I also love the fact that its 100% organic.

Eyes:
Urban Decay Naked Pallet

I think this is my all time favorite pallet, EVER. I love every color in it, they all go great together. Theyre nudes and look great on any skin tone or eye color. Its Urban Decay, so the pigments is wonderful, just a great product all together. There are so many different looks you can do with just this one pallet.

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on Pencil
Zero

I love the Urban Decay 24/7 eye liners, they go on so smooth and the colors are great. They smudge and blend well for a base to a smokey eye. But the problem with that is they can run off your water line and smear on your eye if not set with powder. You also might have to touch it up a lot.

Stila Smudge Pots

These little guys are GREAT for lining the lid with an angle brush. You can get perfect winged cat eyes so easily. They arent too thick or hard and dont dry out as easily as some others Ive tried. The colors are pretty nice, but of course with and gel product you want to seal it in with a powder.

Lorac Front of the Line PRO
Liquid Eyeliner

If you prefer using a liquid pen or brush, this is definitely the one to use. The brush is the perfect firmness, it doesnt drip or run, and it dries fast, no need to seal with a powder. It is so easy to use, its basically a pen or marker. It has a super fine tip for getting a perfect cat eye or for doing designs for costume makeup.
I absolutely LOVE this liquid liner. I have about four I think. I use them all the time.

Bourjois Paris
Coup de Theatre 2 in 1 Mascara

For a lengthening mascara, this is soooo great. It says its length and volume, but I think it gives great length, but not so great volume. I always like to layer my mascaras anyway so I think this is the best mascara Ive used so far for length. So Ill apply this one first then..

Maybelline Falsies
Volume Express

This is by far my favorite mascara Ive ever used. You dont need to layer this mascara, I just always layer mine so this is usually the top coat. But this mascara alone is amazing. it really does look like you have a set of false lashes on. It makes your eyes look so beautiful. I absolutely lovelovelove this mascara.
And its cheap! Only like $7 at walmart.

Benefit Brow Zings

If you dont define your eyebrows, go to Ulta, buy this product and give it a try. You will be absolutely amazed at how different it makes your face look. It almost frames your eye, and defines your face shape. It makes such a difference in your makeup look. This little guy comes with everything you need, so its great to keep in your purse or travel bag.
The darker color on the left is like a gel, you use the angle brush to define the shape of your brow, then the blending brush and the lighter shade to the right to fill it in and it looks so great. I use this every day, I think it really makes a huge difference.

Lips:
Tarte LipSurgence
Natural Matte Lip Stain

Ive never really been one to wear lip stick or gloss. But I saw this, thought it looked really nice, and decided to give it a try. The shade I use is 'exposed' its a beautiful nude color that will look great on a lot of different skin tones. It goes on nice doesnt run or smear off your lips, you dont really need a liner, I use just the stain and it looks great.

Beautiful nail polish for $1?! - My first beauty post :D

How many bottles of $8, $10, even $15 nail polish do you have, I know I have a ton.
You would think that these $15 bottles would be the best nail polish you will ever own. THINK AGAIN!

I have never been big on painting my nails, mostly because it just chips off in the next day or two. A few polishes I have even came off in huge pieces, the whole nail basically just peeling off.

I am also very impatient, thank you dad for that lovely trait. So I hate sitting
around waiting for my nails to dry. I hate spending so much money on a bottle of nail polish I will never use, basically because in a few days it will be extremely unattractive.
If theres a special event, sure Ill do my nails just for that day. But its almost more worth it to go get them professionally done, at least that way they will last a week.
But no worries, I have found the best nail polish, in my opinion, and you will never guess where.
THE DOLLAR STORE.

Yes, great nail polish, for just a dollar.

I admit, I was skeptical to buy it at first, but i figured, 'Hey if Im gonna buy a nail polish Im only going to use once, might as well be from the dollar store.'
So I went with this great silver color, I was gonna try a silver cheetah, my gold was getting a little played out.
I get home, apply the first coat. Goes on nice. Dries fast. Perfect consistency, not too thick, not too thin. Second coat, PERFECT coverage, basically no need for a third coat, which was a surprise to me, being as it was from the dollar store.
Now top coat is one thing I wouldnt skimp on, if youre gonna buy one good nail polish, I would go for the top coat. I havent tried the top coat from the dollar store, but I feel like thats the one I would opt for the more expensive brand of.
So I figured, this nail polish goes on great, looks great, but Im sure just like every other it will chip off in a day or two. Well, I was wrong. This stuff lasted so long! It didnt start chipping for over a week, and it probably would have lasted longer if I hadnt been rough on my fingers that week.
Basically, this is the best nail polish I have ever owned.
I got it at Dollar Tree. And the Brand is L.A. Colors, Color Craze.
Now of course, I went back and got five more shades, Ive only tried out two other colors, but so far, they work just as well. The colors are just as (if not more) beautiful as the bottle.
This is definitely my choice nail polish brand, and who would have thought it would be sold at the dollar store. I was so pleasantly surprised with this product!
